WHO: B Family!
WHAT: Gender Reveal
LOCATION: Old Town Temecula
Wow, what an amazing day this was… I am so happy that I had the opportunity to share this very special moment with a very special family…. Friday March 8th Kera & Scott had their ultra at Baby Bound Ultrasound in Canyon Lake… I had the opportunity to attend this with their family and it was such a joy to see the look on all of their faces when the black and white screen displayed a beautiful health silhouette of their 14 week old baby….
Having a child is such a miracle in every way and it brings joy to my heart to see the happiness this little bean is bringing to so many and the arrival is yet to be celebrated…
After their ultrasound Rachel, Owner at www.babyboundultrasound.com, put the gender of Baby B in a special envelope given to me. Scott’s mom (Grandma) was very anxious to know the gender but it was a safe kept secret until Sunday during their gender reveal photo shoot…..
Kera + family arrived to Old Town Temecula and we begun our session promptly… They were all very anxious so we went ahead and started the session with a bang in revealing the gender is MISS B!
Yes you have it… The Buchanan family is going to have a beautiful baby Girl…..
Big thanks to the family for allowing me to capture such joyous memories….
Here are a few of my favorites from the session————–>
So, I have these friends who have been trying to have a baby for a very long time…. Our cousin moved into our neighborhood about three streets away and they have some of the coolest neighbors. We have become friends with some of his neighbors and this is how we came to meet Mr. & Mrs. B!
They are the nicest people with such kind hearts and deserve nothing but the best.
When I found out they were trying to get pregnant I was told about their blog http://waitingonbabyb.wordpress.com/ which I immediately started following. I read the entire blog in 2 hours… Zoned, and amazed at all of their trials and tribulations they have overcome.
Shortly there after I got word that they were pregnant!!!
Immediately I thought wow, I want to offer my services to them in any way possible. I contacted Mrs. B and offered to do a gender reveal shoot. Of course she was ecstatic and said yes…. I cant wait to shoot this special time of their lives.
When I asked for her ideas on shooting she came back with some amazing plans, which I expected nothing less 🙂
Their gender reveal ultrasound is scheduled for next Friday March 8th and they have requested that the technician not reveal the gender, instead she will put the secret in an envelope which will be delivered to me prior to the session….
How many times do you go through your closet and leave empty handed?
Well, that is the story of my life…. Every morning I wake up and stand in the closet for 20 minutes or more trying to figure out what to wear…
It is even harder to choose clothes to wear for a photo session….
Here are a few ideas for a spring family photo session.
For more ideas feel free to check out my photo galleries.
Wow Saturday was one busy day for my family and I, both kids had soccer games in the AM at 8 & 9…. For those of you who know me, I am not a big morning person 🙂 but when it comes to the kids I will do anything… After the kids soccer games I headed out to a photo shoot in Temecula at Harveston Lake with the beautiful Castillo family… Jennifer and her little angels were soo fun to work with. Emilyn (2 years old) and Noah (1 year old) were sooo cute.. All they wanted to do was chase the ducks and jump in the lake… As soon as we brought out the balloons that kept them pretty well entertained.. The balloon idea was definitely a hit with the two cuties… What a fun session with a fun family.
Well less was definitely more… Shooting this rock star birthday was a lot of fun…I had the opportunity to meet a lot of people that I didn’t know prior to this day… This family was soo much fun to work with.
These girls truly had the best birthday party every, everything was thought of during the planning process all the way down to a planned out performance by the birthday girls. This was truly a lot of fun and I didn’t go overboard with my setup for the memory booth photos. Just the simple tassel back drop was perfect in every way….I am so glad that I took the advice of my sister and kept it simple…
Here are a few of my favorite photos from the event:
Have you ever look at a photo and thought “Wow a little less would have been a lot more.”?
Well for some reason this is on my mind. This weekend I am shooting a Rock Star birthday party for two beautiful girls. Nyalani is turning 10 and Arissa is turning 8. I am really excited to be the chosen photographer for this event. It should be a lot of fun. I will be there from start to finish. I will be setting up a photo booth setup for family, friends, kids, and guests of all ages to pose for their party photo. Throught my thinking/preperation process I have been thinking about how to decorate the backdrop for the photos.
I have thought of everything from torn material, to banners, to balloons…. I just don’t know what will work and look best… I started thinking about something once told to me along my photography journey… A friend of mine told me “less is more”… It is sooo true.. Sometimes you don’t have to go all out on your backdrops, props, etc… Sometimes just simple is enough….
Well I will be posting soon from my rock star party… And we will have to decide at that point if less is truly more….
WHO: The Suarez Family of 5+1
WHAT: Family Fun Session
WHEN: January 2012
This was a really fun shoot. We took a chance and shot their family photos at two different locations… This was somewhat of a risk since the little man would most likely get impatient… Little did we know he would be the one to open up the most at the second location… Super fun day in Old Town Temecula.
Today is the day, I have finally decided to start a blog for my photography work. I have had a very difficult time deciding whether or not a blog is necessary. It always just seemed like one more thing to update and work on… But after deep thought and consideration I decided that it is absolutely necessary. The biggest deciding factor was the fact that I can not pin any of my photos on www.pinterest.com . I know you may think I am crazy but I am truly addicted to www.pinterest.com and I would love for some of my work to be out there for all of the pinners to follow…. For those of you who have not been on Pinterest you aught to try it out… The only way I can describe it is “Online Window Shopping”. I get an amazing feeling when I go on and look at different things that interest me… My creative juices start flowing and I just want to make everything… The great thing is that you don’t have to make it right then and there, you simply pin the item to one of you categorized boards and you are able to look at all of your favorites on one board… I love it…
